Well, as it happens, Black Wednesday didn't turn out nearly as bad as I thought it would. S---- and I spent a fun time at Applebee's tonight over dinner, chatting and being our usual catty selves, bemoaning the ups and downs of relationships (in her case), or lack there of (in my case), and just generally having a loverly time.
While it would be nice to have that "someone special" to spend the dreaded "holiday" with, quite frankly, I couldn't have had a better time.
